Welcome to version 10.1! While Kanbanize 10 is still hot, we’ve got some more improvements to share with you, so let’s get started.
Content:
1. Password Policies for Greater Security
2. Modify Values from Outcome Trend
3. Enable/Disable Dropdown Custom Field Values
4. Display Card Links in Worklog Reports
5. New Board Notification for Co-Owners
6. Other Improvements
1. Password Policies for Greater Security
To further raise the security of the platform and ensure even safer operations for your organization, we’re giving you the ability to set password policies. Going forward, account owners and users with the “Manage Security Settings” privilege who can access the “Security & Audit” menu inside the Administration panel will be able to define the following policies for account passwords:
- Require at least one uppercase letter
- Require at least one lowercase letter
- Require at least one digit
- Require at least one non-alphanumeric character (ex. !, @, #, etc.)
- Require minimum length - between 6 and 24 characters, as we recommend 10 or more. Note that for all new users, including those who willingly decide to change their password, the required minimum length from now on will be 6 characters by default.
- Password lifetime - when turned on, this option allows you to define after what period (between 7 and 365 days) users need to change their password.
- Enforce two-factor authentication (2FA) for all users - this option will automatically enable 2FA authentication for all users inside the account.
Note: Keep in mind that in case there is a policy that you do not meet, at your next login, the system will automatically redirect you to change your password. You will see the password conditions that have been applied, and the system will show you whether you meet them.
2. Modify Values from Outcome Trend
To save you time when working with outcomes, we’re giving you quick access to modify your outcome values and/or details directly from the outcome trend. Once you change a value there, the percentage status of the outcome will be automatically updated. Every change in the current outcome value will automatically update its corresponding custom field too.
3. Enable/Disable Dropdown Custom Field Values
Moving forward, we’re also releasing the option to enable/disable allowed values inside your custom fields of type "dropdown". This way, instead of deleting a custom field value altogether, you can disable it, so it can’t be used on a given card. Note that enabling/disabling allowed values is only applicable when editing a custom field’s details on a global level.
4. Display Card Links in Worklog Reports
To enrich your analysis with the worklog reports (worklog entries and worklog by item), you can now visualize card links inside of them.
You can do this by configuring your worklog report results to include the following properties:
- Parents
- Children
- Predecessors
- Successors
- Relatives
Note: For children and parent links, the report will display card IDs only from the first hierarchical level.
5. New Board Notification for Co-Owners
Moving forward, we’re also releasing a new “Added as a Co-owner” board notification option. As the name suggests, when you turn it on, you will receive in-app and/or email notifications whenever you are assigned as a co-owner on cards.
6. Other Improvements
Just like any new release, Kanbanize 10.1 brings a bunch of other improvements too. Let’s go over them below.
- Copy Co-Owners Through Card is Created/Updated/Moved Rules
From now on, creating new cards through the Card is Created/Updated/Moved business rules will include the option to copy the “Co-Owners” of the card that triggered the rule to the newly created one.
- Improved Design When Collapsing the Dashboard Sidebar
Finally, we’ve got a great design improvement in the system to share with you. For a better user experience, once you collapse the sidebar on your dashboards, you will get a new view to easily access a dashboard without expanding the sidebar.
7. Other Changes
Before we leave you, we've made one change in the behavior of the business rules in the product which we'd like to inform you about. From now on, whenever a user modifies a rule created by a different author, this action will not replace the original author of the rule with the user that modified it.
Happy Kanbanizing with version 10.1!
