Card Linking Enhancements
New Links Tab
Release 5.14 provides a completely new interface and functionality of the Links tab in the Card.
By opening the Links tab of the card, you can easily spot the card location itself, which is visualized on a mini Kanban board embedded in the tab. For better differentiation, the card is colored in yellow (1).
All cards, which are linked to the Selected card irrespective of the linking type (child/parent/relative/etc.) are visible too. Generally, the links tab provides a quick overview of all cards linked to the Selected one and their progress status on the board (requested, in progress or done).
Through the Create New Link tab in the panel (2), every user can create a new card and link it to the Selected card, defining their type of relation (child, parent, relative) right away. This centralizes and facilitates the breakdown process. The newly created cards will be visualized immediately upon card creation and when the user goes back to the Board they will be present and ready for processing.
All cards can be filtered in the Link tab Kanban preview board, based on the "type of links" criteria (3). For example, a user can filter and make visible only the child cards related to the Selected card.
The icons to the right of the panel (from left to right - (4)) indicate for the percentage of the completed cards, the sum of the accumulated cards'size, the sum of the blocked cards, the number of the overdue cards, the sum of the logged time.
Use the drag & drop function for each of the cards in the board preview to create а new linked card or a new Parent initiative.
Portfolio Lane Improvements
Kanbanize 5.14 includes a set of improvements to the Portfolio Lane, where all Initiatives are visualized.
- Users may want to see their Portfolio lane all the time while working on the board. By freezing it from the pin icon, they will be able to scroll through their board and still see the Portfolio lane. This will improve the overall visibility and will facilitate the "Initiatives to tasks" breakdown process.
- Every initiative visualizes its linked cards through small rectangular icons that hold information for the card/deliverables. The new plus icon helps you to easily create a new child task and place it to the desired position through the Board Minimap.
History Tab Enhancement
History Log for Card Linking
Release 5.14 includes enhancements in the card History tab, providing a full transparency in regards to the creation and deletion of links. Every time when users create or delete links, the system will log entries in the card history.
History Log for the Runtime Policies execution
A new history event will be logged when a runtime policy has been executed, followed by an entry log for the action that has been triggered as per the policy configuration.
Help Center
Kabanize 5.14 introduces а new customer Help center, which is available at the top right side of the board interface. The Search box allows you to perform a search by a keyword. You can then filter out your results to open a video, knowledge base article or tutorial.
