Related Boards Functionality
The new Related Boards feature can be activated from the board settings (grid) icon at the top right side of your board interface. Its main purpose is to facilitate the breakdown process of your work across multiple boards. Upon feature activation, the system prompts you to select related boards and provides a bird's-eye view of your boards' network.
For example: if you activate the Related Boards feature from your Strategic Board, you will be able to easily relate that board with the management and operation boards (Marketing Board; Development Board) in your account. As a result, all related boards will show up in the right panel, allowing you to create new linked cards between the current board ("Strategic board") and the related boards and track their progress from a centralized spot.
To create a new linked card, drag & drop a card from the "Strategic Board" board to the related board representation and create a new linked card.
Select a card (ctrl+click) on the "Strategic" board to apply a filter and see only related cards.
To learn more about the Related boards' functionality, see the dedicated article about Portfolio Kanban Related Boards.

How To Delete Links between cards?
Kanbanize 5.15 introduces a new functionality that helps users to delete links between cards.
Now, the Links tab of the card not only helps users to create new links and associate already existing cards but also allows them to easily delete links. Use the Delete links button, to open up a panel and select the links you want to delete.
In case that a user wants to unlink a particular card, just right click on its representation in the Links tab and use the Delete link function.
The Initiative Progress Indicator Bar displays child cards size
Each Initiative has a Progress Indicator bar that shows the percentage of the completed child cards.
For example: If two out of five child cards linked to the Initiative are moved to "Done" on the Team Board, the progress indicator will display 40% of completion. When all child cards linked to the Initiative are moved to "Done", the Initiative progress indicator will display 100% and the Initiative will be considered completed. This is the default behavior of the feature.
With the introduction of product Release 5.15, the Initiative progress algorithm indicates and accumulates each child card completion according to its size.
This gives a better perspective of the progress of tasks ranked in different categories of difficulty, which is crucial for the completion of the Initiative.
For example: if we have two completed child cards sized "2" out of five cards in total linked to the Initiative, the Progress Indicator bar will display 23%. If a single card sized "10" is moved to Done, the Progress bar of the Initiative will display 56% of completion.
The Portfolio Lane Now Incorporated in the Runtime Policies
Product Update 5.15 enhances the Runtime policies and makes them even more powerful by including the Portfolio lane as integrated part of the Board Minimap in the policy configuration panel.
Various scenarios that support top-down and bottom-up management approaches can be developed within the Portfolio management style supported by Kanbanize.
You can now easily automate your process at the Portfolio level and trigger a new card/Initiative creation upon completion of an Initiative. Moreover, you can trigger other activities such as move, update, send a notification, call web services whenever an Initiative is moved to a predefined lane.
The Portfolio lane exists as a modification of all business rules available in Kanbanize.
Do not Allow a Child Card to Move When its Parent/Initiative is Blocked
Product update 5.15 introduces an improvement that supports scenarios with blocked Parent/Initiative cards. This feature enhancement is applicable for users who have created a breakdown of their work via Parent/Child hierarchy or have incorporated a rule of order in their work via Successor/Predecessor dependency between the cards.
As of the new Release, a child card or a card defined as a Successor cannot be moved to "In Progress" if its parent is located in the Backlog or Requested section and is blocked.
The practical implementation of this automated function covers scenarios with sequentially ordered Initiatives (successor/predecessor) located on multiple boards. The system will not allow users to start working on a new Initiative if its predecessor is Blocked.
Manage Workspace Templates
With the Release of Kanbanize 5.15, all Project Managers and Administrators will be able to export/import projects along with the selected customized workflows (boards).
The exported templates can be applied to all Kanbanize accounts associated with their email addresses.
Upon workspace template export, the system allows you to select which projects settings to get: custom fields, card template or card types. If a user chooses to export board's cards, they will be preserved except for their links, comments, and assignees.
To initiate the Board export, use the Manage Workspace Template icon in the retractable menu on the bottom right corner of your Dashboard -> select "New Template" and follow the steps for exporting.
The export template will be available in "My Templates" section of the Manage Workspace Templates panel.
To import the template, use the Apply template button of the belonging Settings icon.
The system will notify you when the import process is completed.
Card Priority Accessibility for Color Blindness
The default task priority attribute, which is visible at the closed card view shows how urgent a task is.
There are four priority levels of task assignments in Kanbanize: Low, Average, High and Critical indicated by different colors, respectively: blue, green, yellow and red.
Kanbanize 5.15 is introducing a new option in the Card view configuration panel, which allows setting up your card priority in a way color-blind users may distinguish its levels.
The Low priority corresponds to down-pointing Triangle.
The Average priority corresponds to a Square.
The High priority corresponds to Circle.
The Critical priority corresponds to up-pointing Triangle.
