Welcome to Businessmap 10.13! Here is what’s coming to the product this month:
1. Customize Data Tracking with Our Improved Boards Flow Metrics Widget
We're excited to announce a significant improvement to our Boards Flow Metrics widget. In Version 10.13, we’re introducing a new setting to help you define the scope (beginning and end) of the flow you want to track. The new “In and Out Criteria” setting lets you select specific columns to include in your workflow, enabling you to focus on a particular section of your process.
Additionally, we've added the ability to set a custom date range (up to 360 days), giving you greater flexibility in using the widget. The Boards list is now also part of the widget’s configuration panel, making it easy to see and adjust the boards you will be pulling data from.
Learn more in our Boards Flow Metrics widget guide.
2. Additional Visualization Options in the Planning View
To help you better plan and visualize your projects, we’ve added a new way to order your initiatives in the planning view — by parent. This will group initiatives depending on their parent links and give you a structured overview of your projects’ hierarchy.
This will create the following sections:
- Initiatives that have a parent in another workflow or board — initiatives will be grouped by the title of their parent from another workflow or board. For example, if initiatives A and B have a parent titled “Projects” on another board, ordering by parent will show a section titled “Projects” with initiatives A and B below it in the planning view.
- Initiatives without a parent — initiatives that don't have a parent in another workflow or board.
- Initiatives with multiple parents — initiatives with two or more parents regardless of their location.
Learn more in our planning view guide.
3. Set a Default Email Receiver for the Board
Building on the default sender feature we introduced last month, we’re now also giving you the option to set a default email receiver for a board. Just click the “@” symbol in the “To” dropdown when sending an email from a card in that board to set it up. You can set the card’s Owner, Reporter, or any other user in the account as the default receiver.
Note: Only Workspace Managers and users with the “change board configurations” permission can set a default receiver.
4. User Attributes in More Areas of Your Account
After introducing “user attributes” in 10.12, we’ve been working on integrating them into more areas of the account for greater visibility and tracking. Aside from the Account Administration, you will now also find them:
4.1. In “My Account”
Every user, regardless of their admin privileges, will be able to see their assigned attributes from the new view-only tab available in the “My Account” panel.
4.2. In the “Worklog Entries” Report
There’s a new option in the “Configure results” menu of the Worklog Entries report that lets you display the user attributes in the results table.
Please note that it’s not possible to hide some attributes and display others. The system will generate a separate column for each attribute.
4.3. In the Users’ Info
You will now see each user's assigned attributes in their info popover.
5. Improvement in the Exceeded SLE Heat Map
Moving on, we’ve enhanced our Exceeded SLE Heat Map to provide more detailed insights. It now shows not only the number of times each SLE has been exceeded but also the percentage this number represents out of all cards.
On hover, you will see the total number of cards, too. This will help you better understand your performance and easily identify areas for improvement in your flow.
6. Other Improvements
6.1. Order Your Cards by Sticker
You can now organize your cards by stickers within a column or a cell. Cards without stickers will be displayed after those with stickers.
6.2. New Dashboard Filter
We’ve added a filter in the Home Dashboard to help you quickly find your dashboards.
6.3. Milestones’ Date in the Advanced Search
To make working with milestones easier, we’ve also included the milestones’ dates in the Advanced search results.
When you structure your search results by milestones, you will now see the milestone and its date in the results table. The date will also be included when exporting your search.
6.4. New Business Rule Status Column
To help streamline your work with business rules, we’ve introduced a new column in the Business Rules panel that shows each rule’s status. If the rule is properly configured, the status will be “OK.” If there is a missing element (e.g. a deleted column referenced in the rule), the status will read “Missing reference.”
Additionally, copying a rule with a missing reference will no longer be possible. A pop-up will prompt you to reconfigure the rule before copying it.
