Welcome to Businessmap 10.15! We’re excited to share what’s coming this month, starting with new AI capabilities in the product:
1. Generate Subtasks With the Help of AI
As we continue to leverage the power of AI in the product, we’re thrilled to introduce our latest feature — the Businessmap AI subtask generator.
The goal of this feature is to help streamline the subtask creation process by offering suggestions based on the card’s title and/or description. Look for the new icon in the Subtasks tab and the Subtasks field in the card details. The more descriptive the card title and description, the better the generated subtasks will be!
See this in action in the short video below:

1.1. New AI Security Setting
To support this feature, we’ve also created a new security control setting that allows Account Owners and users with the necessary permissions to enable or disable AI-generated subtasks. When enabled, card data is securely sent to a third-party AI service, where it remains private and is not used to train AI models.
Note: This setting does not apply to the Businessmap AI Coach and the Businessmap AI Assistant.
2. Introducing Trend Insights & Graphics in the Businessmap AI Coach
Version 10.15 brings you one more AI-powered improvement, this time in our Businessmap AI Coach. The feature will include graphics to illustrate progress for relevant questions, as well as answer trend-related queries like “Is the flow of this workflow improving?” or “What’s the productivity over the last X months?”
3. Subtasks Now Have Deadlines
Following your feedback, we’re adding deadlines for subtasks. You’ll find the new deadline icon in the Subtasks tab, where you can add and update deadlines. Like card deadlines, subtask deadlines will be colored red if overdue and orange if due today. Learn more about subtask deadlines.
Note: Subtask deadlines are also available in card templates, the advanced search, and the API.
4. Visualize Relative Links in the Planning View
To add greater flexibility to the planning view, we’ve expanded its visualization options to include relative links between initiatives. In addition to the default predecessor/successor links, you can now choose to display initiatives based on their relative links. You’ll find this new option in the planning view settings, under the “Show links by” dropdown.
In the relative links mode, you can link initiatives as relatives. Learn more in our planning view guide.
5. Improvements in the Advanced Search
5.1. Quick Search Optimization
We’re making it easy to do quick searches for cards by internal or custom ID in the Advanced search. You can enable or disable this option by clicking the clock icon in the search field box, which turns blue when quick search is active.
To search in the remaining default fields (owner, title, and description), click the “Run full search” button. Please note that a full search may take longer to return results.
5.2. First and Last Request Dates
For a more granular look at your search reports, we’re introducing two new criteria in the Advanced search (available as search filters and in the “Configure results” menu):
- First Request Date — the first time a card is moved from the “Backlog” area to the “Requested,” “In Progress,” “Done,” or “Ready to archive” sections.
- Last Request Date — the last time a card is moved from the “Backlog” area to the “Requested,” “In Progress,” “Done,” or “Ready to archive” sections.
Read more about the first/last dates in Businessmap.
6. Planned Start and End Dates Now Available in the Initiative View
For enhanced visibility, you can now display an initiative’s planned start and/or end dates in the closed view. You’ll find this option under “Planned dates” in the initiative view settings.
7. Other Improvements
7.1. Copy SLEs When Cloning Boards & Workspaces
Moving on, you can now copy Service Level Expectations when cloning a board or workspace.
7.2. Improved Logged Time Format
We’ve refined how logged time is presented in the log time panel. For example, 5.5h now appears as 5h 30m, providing better readability.
7.3. Improvement When Syncing Linked Cards with Business Rules
Last but not least, we’ve made an improvement in Business rules when syncing values between linked cards (e.g. Parent card is updated). If a rule is triggered to copy a value from a parent to a child card whenever a new child card is added, the rule will now execute only for the newly created child card.
8. Updates from Our SA (Solutions Architecture) Team
In 10.15, we’re happy to share that:
- We have released a new version of our Zapier connector. It now allows you to retrieve all users in the account or a specific user by ID. Check it out here.
- To help you get things done faster, we have released a new tool that allows you to import and update users and their attributes, assign workspace managers, and add users to boards and teams. With this tool, you can import or update up to 200 users at once. Check it out here.
Enjoy exploring Businessmap 10.15!
