The Businessmap AI Coach (not to be mistaken with our AI chat Assistant) leverages the power of AI to help examine your data at different levels of your workflows. Here is what it is and how to work with it.
1. What Is the Businessmap AI Coach?
This AI-powered feature aims to elevate our product analytics by examining your data at the workflow*, column*, lane*, or card level, providing real-time insights. The goal is to give you a quick overview of key metrics, such as the most frequently used blocker or the card with the longest cycle time in the selected workflow.
* The AI coach will only analyze data for the cards that are currently in this location. It will not provide historical data for all cards that have been in the respective location.
Important:
- Availability — The Businessmap AI Coach is currently in its experimental phase and is available upon request for individual accounts. As activating the AI Coach affects the entire account, the request must come from an Account Owner. To enable the AI coach, please contact our support team at support@businessmap.io.
- Data Security — All customer data is kept within the Businessmap AI infrastructure at all times and is never sent to any external provider. We use our AI providers solely to understand user queries and to obtain hints, which we then use to analyze the information.
2. How to Work with the Businessmap AI Coach?
You can access the AI coach by doing a right click on the section of the board you want to analyze and selecting “Businessmap AI Assistant.” E.g. clicking on a card will give you data only for that card, while right-clicking on a column will show information for all cards in that column.
Once you open the AI coach, you will see the location path for the data you will be analyzing. You can type in your question or select one from the sample questions that will appear in a dropdown. Alternatively, you can type a keyword to see what sample questions are available for it. After the system returns a response, you can rate it with a thumbs up or down. You can modify your question from the “edit” icon.
To ask a new question, click on the “New question” button in the upper left corner. The questions you have asked during that session will be stored under that button, allowing you to revisit them by clicking on them.
The system will try to detect trend-related questions and offer more insights into your flow performance, including visual graphs where applicable.
Note about cycle time: The system does not currently account for the cycle time configuration of your workflows and only counts the time cards have spent in each column. When you ask questions about the cycle time, the system will essentially give you lead time data.
3. Limitations
Only users whose role includes access to the API can work with the AI coach. Additionally, as the feature is still in beta, its output may sometimes be inaccurate.
