Release Note About the Upcoming Kanbanize 9.0 Update!
Dear Kanbanizers,
Kanbanize is preparing to go to the next level with version 9.0! We’re working hard to make this happen, which will result in some of the biggest changes/improvements in the software. To gather your initial feedback and ensure the best customer experience, we’re currently releasing a 9.0 ALPHA version which will be only available for early adopters! Our plan is to follow up with a few intermediary versions and keep testing the system until the major 9.0 update.
In the meantime, all other accounts will keep running the current version of Kanbanize - 8.14. If you wish to be one of the early adopters and have access to the ALPHA version of Kanbanize 9.0, we invite you to contact our support team at support@kanbanize.net.
This time we will only present to you the major focus of the Kanbanize 9.0 ALPHA version. Keep in mind that we’re still working on many more functionalities, which will be added before the official 9.0 release!
New Kanbanize REST API for Greater Integration Flexibility
One of the major highlights of the upcoming Kanbanize 9.0 as a whole and the biggest focus in the ALPHA version is our new APIv2. Our intention with this update is to unlock the software’s full remote interaction and integration capabilities.
Compared to the current REST API in version 8.14, we’re giving you many more endpoints, methods (GET, PUT, POST, DELETE, etc.), and models which you can use to make a wide variety of requests from/to external systems. With the new REST API, users will be able to interact with all Kanbanize features and components, so everything you could do from the system’s UI will be now available through the API too.

Note: Before we close this message, we’d like to invite all of you who are doing integrations via the current API to become early adopters of Kanbanize 9.0 ALPHA version. Together, you can help us test the new API, so we can better adapt it to your needs!
Stay tuned for more major updates and happy Kanbanizing!
